Located in the beautiful, rolling hills of the Ozarks in Southwest Missouri, Hankins Farms is home to a large commercial herd, which has been in the family for nearly a century. Hankins Farms is also home to a select group of high quality, purebred Charolais and Braunvieh cattle where we utilize proven genetics from breeds’ leading performers. Taking advantage of our history in the show ring with both Charolais and Braunvieh, we recently started raising club calves. We are extremely pleased with the success these calves and our customers have had already.
Hankins Farms is anchored by Don and Karen Hankins, as well as their sons’ family, Jason, Pam, Emma, and Jessi Hankins. On the Charolais side, we began producing and exhibiting registered Charolais cattle in 1990. We were honored in 1993 with having our first National Champion Female, DA 930 Patty 101 ET. Since then, we always strive to produce high quality cattle that will excel for us and our customers, whether that be in the pasture or the show ring. Jason also provides a fitting service for Charolais cattle across the U.S., and at the 44th National Show this past February, he was chosen as Herdsman of the Year.
Recently, Don extended our program by adding a very successful set of Braunvieh cattle. Don also provides a fitting service for Braunvieh cattle from breeders across the U.S. He was Runner Up Show Breeder of the Year in 2011, and had the Show Dam of the Year in 2011 and 2012 with Miss LLB N52. Her offspring continue to dominate shows throughout the nation.
“The Hankins family is committed to producing only the best cattle, and they invite you to visit them and add some of their genetics to your herd.”
